Hello, Wednesday I woke up off and on throughout the night needing to use the bathroom. I was feeling crampy (very crampy), uncomfortable, nauseous, and yeah just kind of off. I woke up about 3 times in the night and it took a while to get back to sleep. I finally woke up for the last time at 4:30 (tossed and turned) and then decided to get up and shower at 5:00 this morning. So it was quite the day. All I could think about was all that needed to be done that day (in order for this little guy to arrive) I got my last order of newborn cloth diapers in the mail...so I immediately went and put those in the wash (cause they need to be prepped...meaning washed/dried about 4 times) So I have spent pretty well the whole afternoon getting things done around here. I made a list of things to do (I think in the last blog post) and I am knocking those off today...because I have a STRONG feeling he is going to make an appearance in the next few days. My Father-in-Law came over today and steam cleaned our carpet going up the stairs as well as an area rug and touched a few spots on our couches. Seriously he is awesome. We have a few more things to do on the list...and Hubby should be home any minute now. I also picked up our new BEAUTIFUL diaper bag. So I got it all packed up as our hospital bag (just need to pack mine and Jayden's now (with a few things and our clothes) I cannot believe that I can have him any day from here on out. I feel nervous (very nervous this time around...even though I have been through it once before) I must say that I will be so much more prepared this time. Lol. I felt cramps off and on throughout the day as well and the odd braxton hicks. So not sure if it will pick up again or what. I haven't felt contractions yet...but I am gonna go for a walk tonight (if we get everything done) and see if that will do anything (Yes I do want him to come early...but I do understand that if he isn't ready than he won't come in the next few days) I will be happy with whatever happens. I could definitely be pregnant for another 2 Weeks and be perfectly happy...just an FIY! Friday we have our prenatal appointment (and I will be 38 Weeks Pregnant then...if I don't have him by then) so I will be getting the Membranes swept on Friday! So exciting...we'll see what happens! I am gonna get hubby to clean out his basement today after he get's home (I'll probably help him to...but that's his area of the house...and I want it to be cleaned and ready for baby's arrival) We will most likely be spending our time down there this summer and while Isaiah is down for the night! Baby Buys: My Mother-in-Law came home with these the other day for the new babe. I am guessing she got them at Winners :) They were all less than $10/per outfit My new diaper bag! I am seriously in love with it. It was our baby gift from my Mother and I could not be more excited about anything. It is absolutely the perfect size and I LOVE all the features it has to offer. So in love with the print as well :) Happy Mama over here. Best part is it will hold all of a newborns stuff and a toddlers stuff to (and probably Mama's stuff to) Keeping in mind I will have 2 cloth diapered children. This bag was about $180 New. So definitely Thankful for my Mom and her deciding to gift this to us! I picked these up today as well. Another Diaper pail bag and some of our favorite bum cream (all natural) The bag was $15 and the Big tub of cream was $22 and the small ones were $7. We have only used this with Isaiah (bought 2 tubs when he was about 1 month old...and we have only ever bought 1 more) so these last a really really long time (don't be discouraged by the price) especially for a chemical free product. Now we don't plan on using disposable diapers...like at all, but if we do need to use a few of them these are my favorite ones to use. I love pampers swaddlers. So I grabbed a bag (besides we can save them if we don't use them all...we know a lot of people having babies in the next few months who would probably be happy to take them off our hands) And of course Ovol was a staple for us to have on hand when Isaiah was a tiny baby...because he always had an upset tummy and it worked wonders for him (again probably has chemicals in it...but when it helps sooth your babies tummy it get's to that point where they do need a bit of help in the drug department....lol) I bought some more cloth diapers :) Eeeeeee!!! Well actually this was also a gift from my Mother. More for Isaiah at this point though (because we have to fix some of his grovia diaper covers.) I heard amazing things about the Flip diapers so thought I would go that route and wanted to aslo try Charlie Banana for quite some time now :) Then I just got a basic rumparooz diaper cover (fits all sizes) Although the baby will be able to use them as well. Which is why I added them in this post. Last but definitely not least is our newborn cloth diapers. We ordered from this amazing girl Annie. From Dick&Jane Cloth Diapers. Dick&Jane Cloth Diapers Facebook Page Dick&Jane Cloth Diapers Etsy Shop How is Mama Feeling? Well I already told you how I am feeling up at the top of the post :) That pretty much sums it up. Also a lot of heartburn lately....and I have dropped tonnes. How Big is Baby for Week 37? Baby is the size of a Winter Melon. He is about 18.9-20.9 Inches Long (although I highly doubt this because at 39 Weeks Isaiah was born at 17.5 haha) and weighs about 6.2-9.2lbs. How far along? 37 Weeks 6 Days Pregnant Total weight gain and bump measurements: No more tracking... Maternity clothes? My H&M Striped Tee and regular yoga pants :) Stretch marks? Can't see them, but I am pretty sure I have some. Sleep: Yes. Best moment this week: getting the itty bitty cloth diapers and my new diaper bag in the mail. Miss anything? Not really. Movement: Yes. Tonnes Food cravings: Poutine Anything making you queasy or sick: No Gender: Boy ;) Labor signs: no Symptoms: Just Pregnant. Belly button in or out? In (wants to be out) Wedding rings on or off? On. Off at night. Happy or moody most of the time: Moody. Looking forward to: Being comfortable again. Thanks so much for stopping by. I cannot believe I could have this little man anytime now. Full term Baby!!!

Hello, K...WHAT???? How the heck is this possible. 6 More Weeks to go???? What????.....WHAT????? What is new?..................?..........? Well I am in full force Nesting Mode...I started the whole Freezer Foods task. I am putting a huge dent it...I must say it is very strange making yummy dishes and not being able to eat them. At least most of the dishes I prepared are all raw...everything cut up and tossed into bags...but there was 1 recipe I used that was soup and you needed to cook it first then freeze it...drove me crazy not to eat any of it. LOL. I will be so thanking myself later though...time put into it now will pay off later. Jayden asked me if I was stressing out over having to make meals and freeze them...I was like No not at all if anything I like doing this...seriously I am enjoying every minute of this planning...especially knowing that I am creating super awesome dishes that are so healthy for me...I won't be stressing later about not knowing what to make for dinner...I can just pull something out and put it in the oven or the crockpot and forget about it :) YAY me... We did our Photoshoot. It was so fun and our Photographer was amazing and super skilled at what she does. It literally took her no longer than 1 Hour to take pictures of us in her Studio...as well as at a park (10 Minutes away from her studio) How awesome. She sent us a few sneak peaks on facebook...so if you are friends with me go and check them out. So adorable. I will do a separate post of just the pictures when we get them! So excited to work with her again when we have this little man. We were in the City this past Weekend. We stayed the night with my Sister-in-Law and her Hubby and it was nice to just relax and spend some time with them for a bit. We also got a bit of shopping in for a few last minute things. There are still some things we need to get before he arrives, but most of it I can order online and not have to take another trip into the City for. This past Weekend proved to me that I don't want to travel anymore if I don't have to. The 3 Hour trip into the City nearly killed me, I was so uncomfortable, and all that walking made my feet super swollen. Yikes. I think we'll stay home now until he arrives. Baby Buys: Some little newborn (Size 0-1 Month) jeans from H&M I scored these for $5 on clearance :) I Love that they have the super stretchy part on the waste (will be perfect for the cloth diapers) I also scored another deal on some newborn diapers. I got these 7 used Lil Joey's and Knockoff Lil' Joeys for $30. What a steal of a deal. Then I picked up this little 2 piece summer set up from Winners I think it was about $6.99 for the set. We also picked up some Cradle Sheets/play-yard sheets and crib sheets. (just plain old white ones nothing to take a pic of...haha) Mama Buys: I really wanted a belly bandit for my first pregnancy but they are pretty darn expensive new. I am a member of this pretty awesome group on Facebook for Mom's and one of the girls posted that she was using one with her newest baby. I told her that I really wanted one and then she offered to sell it to me when she was finished with it. Needless to say I told her YES I would buy it off her for $20...anyways the sweet Mama gave it to me for free. Seriously I am so excited to use it. I am a little skeptical though about the Size Small part. I was a medium before I got pregnant...but we'll see, if I can't wear it right away that's fine, I'll wear it later...or with my next pregnancy! How does Mama Feel? I...Feel....very very Pregnant. I am actually feeling pretty miserable these days. This is definitely not a fun time for me. I am tired, I have no energy (but I make energy to get cleaning/cooking done), my feet are like sausages (literally I don't fit any shoes), my Maternity clothes are tight, I have heartburn...I could seriously go on and on. The plus side is I am still loving pregnancy even though it doesn't love me all the time. LOL. Yup that's pretty much it...counting down for it to be done, and hope that the next pregnancy will be more like pregnancy #1 was :) How Big is Baby for Week 34? Baby is the size of a Butternut Squash. About 4.2-5.8 lbs and 17.2-18.7 inches long. Here are my Q's for the Week. Enjoy! How far along? 34 Weeks 5 Days Pregnant Total weight gain and bump measurements: No more tracking... Maternity clothes? Yes mostly tops...I don't wear my pants often now...because they are getting a bit snug. I moved onto Leggings...lol. In the pictures I am wearing a maternity/nursing top from motherhood maternity, my motherhood maternity grey pants and a regular grey cardi from target. Stretch marks? If there is I don't notice them. Sleep: Yes. I have my nights where I am up a few times in the night...annoying...but good I guess. Best moment this week: Getting our Photoshoot done :) Miss anything? That glass of Red Wine :) Movement: It is crazy how much this little dude moves... Food cravings: <<<<<<POUTINE>>>>>>> Anything making you queasy or sick: No Gender: Boy ;) Labor signs: no Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, Fetal Movement Belly button in or out? In (wants to be out) Wedding rings on or off? On. Off at night. Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty happy...but moody too.. Looking forward to: Seeing our Photos and getting some printed. Size HUGE! Lol. How is there even room in there for him. I am maxed out people :(
Thanks for stopping by :) Hope you liked it! ...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, We have reached 23 Weeks. This is crazy to me...when I think about it. Baby is sure cookin' in there and I am enjoying it (even though I have to pee literally right after I leave the bathroom) Oh Joys of pregnancy. Baby is nuzzled nicely on my bladder and does not want to leave that spot! I Love it! Not a whole lot new this week. We started getting the boys bedroom ready (because they will be sharing a room after the first 4-8 Weeks of Baby being in our room) Isaiah got a big boy bed so we are getting that all organized and put together. Which is pretty awesome. My Kookum (Grandmother) gave us a whole bedroom set for Isaiah, and it is gorgeous! Goes really nice with the Crib as well. The only thing I think is weird (but hubby won't budge on) is having the change pad on the dresser with the mirror on it...but oh well at least reflections can make for easier diaper changes? Lol. I entered in a giveaway that my favorite cloth diaper website was having on some really cool new diapers they got in stock. Long story short she emailed me today and I WON the diaper :) So cool! I am so thankful for this and it makes me super excited because I really really love cloth diapering and think they are soo cute and fun...A fun way to make a dirty job fun! Lol. Here's a picture of the diaper I won and a link of my favorite website "New & Green"! Isn't it soo cute? Lol. I never win anything. So I am totally excited about this! Plus these diapers go for about $30 new...so this is huge for me ;) How is Mama Feeling? I am feeling pretty great, definitely starting to get into a bit of a nesting mode. Wanting to definitely declutter my house...and get ready for this little one. How Big is Baby for Week 23? Baby Madsen is the size of a grapefruit! He's about 10.5-11.8 inches long! Weighs about 12.7-20.8 ounces! Ears start to develop and his face and eyes are forming. He can listen now and really enjoys listening to Mama's heartbeat. Definitely moving a lot too! How far along? 23 Weeks 6 Days Pregnant Total weight gain and bump measurements: .5 Weight Gain Weight: 162.8 lbs. 41.5 Inch Bump Maternity clothes? My Motherhood Skinny Jeans & a black basic maternity t-shirt from H&M. Stretch marks? No Sleep: Every night is a pretty darn good sleep. At least 1 pee break a night. Best moment this week: Winning a Grovia Cloth Diaper! Miss anything? Still that glass of red wine! Movement: Yes...especially to music Food cravings: FRUIT...I cannot get enough. Cut up dipped in Strawberry yogurt. Or in smoothies. Anything making you queasy or sick: We had Frittata the other day and I swear it tasted moldy (even though hubby said it tasted nothing like mold) Gender: Baby Boy ;) Labor signs: no Symptoms: Tired, Sore Boobs, Uncomfortable Belly button in or out? in Wedding rings on or off? on Happy or moody most of the time: Happy a bit moody sometimes. Looking forward to: Seeing the "Zoolander Baby Face" again. I cannot believe how big I am feeling these days. Size HUGE! Lol. I must say though that my belly is definitely a different shape than it was with Isaiah...and I am so happy that I finally reached the part in the pregnancy where I have a BABY bump...that looks like a baby bump. I even got asked how far along I was the other day...by someone I just met (which was a little strange and made me think "wow people actually can tell now) This makes me so happy.
The last picture is a pic of me with Baby and his Ultrasound picture. We used this for our Gender Reveal party. It says beside his picture "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb." Psalm 139:13 I think about this verse often, it is really special to know that there is a little person being formed inside of me. Love <3 ...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, So we are 17 Weeks Pregnant. 3 More Weeks until we are halfway there...how did this happen? It is flying by. I remember it taking forever with Isaiah...but of course I know how him to look after and am probably not as focused on growing a baby. Lol. I am definitely enjoying every moment...and I am so happy that I am over that nasty flue that I had. Yikes it sucked. But on Sunday night Jayden and I went into Edmonton to watch Muse in Concert...and WOW was it a concert. It was one of the best concerts I have seen in my life. The light show was amazing. We will be spending most of the end of this Week shopping in Edmonton. Jayden has a teachers convention to attend...so Isaiah and I will go in with him and we will spend our days shopping. I also got some diapers for baby this week. I am slowly gonna start collecting the things we will need for the baby. and Newborn diapers are just that. (Even though Jayden thinks we have enough)...but a Mama who loves to cloth diaper...never has enough. We didn't like the newborn diapers we had used with Isaiah so I am on a mission to add a few more to our stash so I can try out new kinds. So I have been keeping an eye out for different deals. I was browsing on one of my favourite cloth diaper sites over a week ago and noticed newborn AMP diapers (which I heard good things about) where on clearance. So I grabbed 4 of those (they only had blue ones and 1 green one left) Also I was just on Babysteals.com a few days ago and found another great deal. They had Swaddlebee's newborn diapers on for $8.99 each. So I got another 4 of those too. (They didn't come in this week...so I will post them in next week's post) Those are my Baby Buys for the Week. I love them. It's so exciting getting things ready for the baby. We are gonna work on our Master Bedroom over the next few weeks. Getting the cradle and dresser set up...and I want to do a bit of personalizing decor for the baby. Something over his/her cradle maybe. Anyways I am feeling great and am getting so excited for next Weekend when we can find out the Gender...hopefully. We have an ultrasound booked for Feb. 11th so on Feb 16th we are having a Gender reveal party. So excited. How big is Baby for Week 17? Baby is the size of an onion. (weighs about five ounces) holy snap! That's it for the week. Here are my Questions and Answers. Enjoy. How far along? 17 Weeks 6 Days Pregnant Total weight gain and bump measurements: 0.5 Weight Loss Weight:154.5 lbs. 40.5 Inch Bump (1 Inch increase) Maternity clothes? Wearing my maternity jeans and this is just a forever 21 dress I just got (not maternity) Stretch marks? No not yet Sleep: Starting to wake up at least once a night to go to the washroom. But still sleeping great. Best moment this week: Going to the Muse Concert...Feeling Baby dance. Miss anything? not really. Movement: Yes...but I still have to really feel for it. Food cravings: Kraft Dinner and Hot dogs. Anything making you queasy or sick: No. Gender: We find out next Week. Labor signs: no Symptoms: my Body is achy, tired. Belly button in or out? in Wedding rings on or off? on Happy or moody most of the time: Happy Looking forward to: My Mom and siblings coming to visit next Weekend and finding out the Gender. Finally some pictures of my bump. I definitely feel bigger this Week. But it changes so much. Sometimes I feel huge and other weeks I feel smaller...this was one of those weeks that I def feel pregnant! haha. Thanks so much for stopping by, Hope you liked my post!
...following my dreams... -Cynthia Well I am jumping with joy today...because my diapers and some other things came in the mail. I was so excited to rip open the box and route through all the stuff I had ordered last week. WOW it got to me fast! So here is the scoop about the diapers: We really want to do as much cloth diapers as we possibly can...about 95-99% lol! I know we might still have to do the occasional disposable, but I am thankful that my gDiapers (order coming in the next few days) gives you the option to put in biodegradable inserts that act pretty much as a disposable but the biggest bonus being you can flush them...so there isn't waste going into the landfill! We love the idea of using cloth diapers on our little guy/girls bum! So we chose 2 brands gDiapers and bumGenius 4.0! The idea is to use the bumGenius as overnight diapers (because you can use double inserts in them for more absorbency) This video is showing my bumGenius with other diaper accessories Haul! I will do another one when my shipment of gDiapers come in...you'll know when they do because you will probably see me crying. We ordered some that are so tiny (6-10pounds) OMG! I cannot wait to open that package. I am 100% for Cloth diapers...and I have put years of research into them...I have been thinking of them for a few years now...before we even thought seriously of having a Baby! So today I opened the package and this is what I saw They have actually changed their company name from baby bellhop to New & Green Baby co. I was so excited to see everything :) I Love all the colors :) We went with neutral because we don't know what we are having!!!I lied in the video (I said that they gave me a sample...but I ordered this because you sprinkle it in the diaper pail when it starts to smell to take away odor....sorry! Then there are Doubler Inserts that are perfect for extra absorbency. Overnight would be the best time to use them :) A wet bag for when I am out and about with the Baby...perfect for the diaper bag...it could hold about 2 dirty diapers. I will maybe get some more for like dirty cloths and clothing and stuff :) This is for the toilet...to spray off any yucky diapers before tossing them in the diaper pail...it's also good for Mom's right after the birthing process...and I know T.M.I haha! A must have for cloth diapers. Also a Pail liner/Wet bag...that I will use in the nursery to toss the dirties in after I spray them of course. 3 Sizes :) Small (8-16 lbs), Medium (17-22 lbs), Large (23-35 lbs) I am so in love with them :) Anyways thanks for reading! I hope you liked it...and if you ever have any Q's please ask! I cannot wait to share more and more with everyone about my journey of being a Mama... and my daily activities! I love every moment of this experience and I can't wait to see our little angel for the first time! ...following my dreams... -Cynthia |
