Hello, We have reached 23 Weeks. This is crazy to me...when I think about it. Baby is sure cookin' in there and I am enjoying it (even though I have to pee literally right after I leave the bathroom) Oh Joys of pregnancy. Baby is nuzzled nicely on my bladder and does not want to leave that spot! I Love it! Not a whole lot new this week. We started getting the boys bedroom ready (because they will be sharing a room after the first 4-8 Weeks of Baby being in our room) Isaiah got a big boy bed so we are getting that all organized and put together. Which is pretty awesome. My Kookum (Grandmother) gave us a whole bedroom set for Isaiah, and it is gorgeous! Goes really nice with the Crib as well. The only thing I think is weird (but hubby won't budge on) is having the change pad on the dresser with the mirror on it...but oh well at least reflections can make for easier diaper changes? Lol. I entered in a giveaway that my favorite cloth diaper website was having on some really cool new diapers they got in stock. Long story short she emailed me today and I WON the diaper :) So cool! I am so thankful for this and it makes me super excited because I really really love cloth diapering and think they are soo cute and fun...A fun way to make a dirty job fun! Lol. Here's a picture of the diaper I won and a link of my favorite website "New & Green"! Isn't it soo cute? Lol. I never win anything. So I am totally excited about this! Plus these diapers go for about $30 new...so this is huge for me ;) How is Mama Feeling? I am feeling pretty great, definitely starting to get into a bit of a nesting mode. Wanting to definitely declutter my house...and get ready for this little one. How Big is Baby for Week 23? Baby Madsen is the size of a grapefruit! He's about 10.5-11.8 inches long! Weighs about 12.7-20.8 ounces! Ears start to develop and his face and eyes are forming. He can listen now and really enjoys listening to Mama's heartbeat. Definitely moving a lot too! How far along? 23 Weeks 6 Days Pregnant Total weight gain and bump measurements: .5 Weight Gain Weight: 162.8 lbs. 41.5 Inch Bump Maternity clothes? My Motherhood Skinny Jeans & a black basic maternity t-shirt from H&M. Stretch marks? No Sleep: Every night is a pretty darn good sleep. At least 1 pee break a night. Best moment this week: Winning a Grovia Cloth Diaper! Miss anything? Still that glass of red wine! Movement: Yes...especially to music Food cravings: FRUIT...I cannot get enough. Cut up dipped in Strawberry yogurt. Or in smoothies. Anything making you queasy or sick: We had Frittata the other day and I swear it tasted moldy (even though hubby said it tasted nothing like mold) Gender: Baby Boy ;) Labor signs: no Symptoms: Tired, Sore Boobs, Uncomfortable Belly button in or out? in Wedding rings on or off? on Happy or moody most of the time: Happy a bit moody sometimes. Looking forward to: Seeing the "Zoolander Baby Face" again. I cannot believe how big I am feeling these days. Size HUGE! Lol. I must say though that my belly is definitely a different shape than it was with Isaiah...and I am so happy that I finally reached the part in the pregnancy where I have a BABY bump...that looks like a baby bump. I even got asked how far along I was the other day...by someone I just met (which was a little strange and made me think "wow people actually can tell now) This makes me so happy.
The last picture is a pic of me with Baby and his Ultrasound picture. We used this for our Gender Reveal party. It says beside his picture "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb." Psalm 139:13 I think about this verse often, it is really special to know that there is a little person being formed inside of me. Love <3 ...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, Well we are 22 Weeks Prego and to be honest I feel at least 35 Weeks. Well not so much feel but more look. I feel HUGE! I seriously gained like 3 lbs since last week and at least an inch in the bump! Crazy! Oh well the joys of pregnancy. This is honestly not the time to be stressing over how much I am gaining...because that is something that just happens in pregnancy! So Yay! I have an excuse to put this much on and not to feel bad about it....so I'm not! It's just a shock that's all! We had a Doctors appointment on Wednesday and it went really well...His heartbeat is at about 140 beats/min! It always sits about there. My Blood pressure was normal as well. The measurements of my belly are right on track. I have another ultrasound scheduled for Mid April...so when I went to the doctor I asked her why we had another one to do. She said that my placenta is very close to my cervix, but as my pregnancy goes on the uterus will get larger therefore the placenta will move away from the cervix. This is not a big deal now but it could cause a little bit of problems if it doesn't move furthur away during labour...and she says I may have to deliver in Edmonton if I want to do it vaginally (which I do again) So praying that that sorts itself out! How's Mama Feeling? I have been feeling pretty great with the pregnancy. For a few weeks there I was pretty uncomfortable. But this week has really been looking up and I feel great again. I also did my first (very short) workout on Wednesday...I didn't last very long because I really haven't worked out much (besides walking once in a while and chasing around a 1 Year Old) So I did about 16 minutes of workout to my new DVD. It is fun...I am gonna start doing it with my other pregnant friend to make it easier on ourselves to get the motivation to work out more often. I was even thinking of going to visit my FIL when he has a day off and then just going to workout while he hangs out with Isaiah for an hour. But I have motivation to work out lately and I want to take advantage of that...I need to get fit so that it's easier for me to get back into it after baby arrives.!!!!! YAY!!! I could still feel baby moving a lot but definitely not as much as he normally moves. Maybe he is starting to get a little squished in there! haha! My heartburn has kind of backed off a bit which is really great...because I was considering looking at options of taking something to help with them. But no need to right now :) My belly is definitely a noticeable baby Bump now. I still have been craving Creamsicle's like there is no tomorrow. They aren't on sale anywhere in this town and I don't want to just go buy one single one when I could save money buying a whole box. So I am holding out for a good sale and then stocking up on like 50 boxes. Lol. Jayden was teasing me the other day about how much I am showing now. He literally asked "How much longer do you have?.....Like 6 Weeks left?" I could have died. Lol. What a bugger! So I definitely feel way bigger than I ever was with Isaiah. Haha. How Big is Baby for Week 22? He is as big as a Papaya! Measures about 10.5-11.8 inches and weighs about 12.7-20.8 ounces. At Week 22 baby has more developed eyes and lips, and definitely looking more like a newborn! Crazy-sauce! How far along? 22 Weeks 6 Days Pregnant Total weight gain and bump measurements: 3.3 Weight Gain. Weight:162.3 lbs. 41.5 Inch Bump (1 Inch Increase) Maternity clothes? My Sweater is Maternity from Thyme Maternity (bought when I was pregnant with Isaiah), and of course my Maternity Skinny Jeans! Stretch marks? No Sleep: Yup...and I LOVE it! Best moment this week: Hearing Isaiah say his name for the first time! Miss anything? not really this week. Movement: not as much movement as previous Weeks. Food cravings: Creamsicle's Anything making you queasy or sick: No Gender: Baby Boy ;) Labor signs: no Symptoms: Just the Usual! Belly button in or out? in Wedding rings on or off? on Happy or moody most of the time: pretty happy Looking forward to: Breastfeeding again ;) Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed my week 22! This little man will be here in no time! Lol.
...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, Well just in time to write this post. Tomorrow I will be 22 Weeks pregnant! Holy Moly! There was quite a bit that happened this past Week. Bad news first...My Great Uncle passed away and we had his Funeral on Saturday. So it was a very sad Weekend to say goodbye to a wonderful man! But it was nice to see my Family and be with them at this time. Some more bad news...I got another Cold :( Boo...I am so done with colds...they really do suck when you are pregnant and it's crazy how much a person rely's on "drugs/meds" to help their colds go away...because if I wasn't prego I would totally be gulping down the neo citron and cough syrup! Oh well...it will be over shortly (I am sure) Good news...we Celebrated Jayden's 27th Birthday on Monday (March 4th) I made a very delicious soup and some brownies for him. I also learned that brownies are his favorite dessert (and I didn't know this after 8 Years of being together) Yes that's right some more great news...we Celebrated 8 Years of being together as of March 5th (we technically became an item on his Birthday...but we decided to make the date March 5th...so he can have his B-day all to himself...lol just an FYI) So March 5th we went for all you can eat fish and chips at Joey's Only...and of course had the deep fried ice cream with carmel sauce...YUM! I am sure I went over my fish allowance in one night though...but I didn't think it was a big deal. It was tasty! Especially the Sweet Potato Fries with Chipotle Dip! YUM! It looks interesting and I am super excited to give it a go (after this cold lets me work out) but I am sure counting down the days for nice weather so I can get my booty outside for walks everyday. I am sure some of the discomfort is from not being as fit as I normally am. I have become a couch potato (mostly because I have been super tired this pregnancy...and that is probably being cause by not working out) lol. Vicious cycle isn't it? Boooo! I also feel super fat lately. I cannot even look in the mirror anymore and see a cute little belly...I just see a huge whale :( Hubby doesn't think so...but I sure do! Little man is kicking so much (again that may be a reason I am so uncomfortable as well) All I want is junk food and not so healthy food. I seriously need a kick in the butt...this has to stop! I've got 2 more Mama Buys for this week! I made an order to well.ca and got me some prenatal vitamins and some nipple cream for when I start nursing again! I am getting closer and closer to getting started on getting our room set up for this little peanut of ours. I have tonnes of ideas floating around in my head and can't wait to get started. I am making myself get the rest of the house organized first before I tackle this task though...makes sense to me! But I do know that I am thinking paper cranes for a mobile for above his cradle in our bedroom. I lucked out as well because my Baby Sis said she would help me out with making them. We just need to go shopping for coloured paper first (once we figure out a color palette to work with) So exciting!!! I already washed a small load of Isaiah's old clothes and I will get those organized and put away shortly too...I got really teary eyed when I saw the little outfit we brought Isaiah home in...so sweet and so tiny (it was big on him when we brought him home) and I still remember the day he grew out of it...now he's a giant! Lol. How Big is Baby for Week 21? He is the size of a Pomegranate! About 10.5 Inches and about 12.2 ounces. This is insane! Just thinking Isaiah was about 17.5 Inches at birth...yikes! (oh God Heartburn...go away...sorry just dying while I am writing) Yup I have been getting some crazy heartburn lately. It is soo hard to breath. Tums do not work!!! Anyways here are my Questions for the week. Enjoy! How far along? 21 Weeks 6 Days Pregnant Total weight gain and bump measurements: Weight:159 lbs. 40.5 Inch Bump (no change this week) Maternity clothes? I am wearing maternity leggings from H&M, the shirt is non maternity (my sister gave it to me a couple years ago), a blue scarf and a brown belt :) Stretch marks? No Sleep: I have been waking up at about 2am every morning...but have been to lazy to get my butt out of the warm bed to go and pee...so by 6am my bladder is bursting...(I know this is not good) Best moment this week: Celebrating Hubby's 27th Birthday and our 8 Years Together! Miss anything? A glass of wine. Probably because I know I can't have it! Movement: So much movement (maybe that's why all the heartburn) Food cravings: OMG Creamsicle's MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD! Anything making you queasy or sick: No Gender: Boy!!!! Labor signs: no Symptoms: Sore Boobs! Uncomfortable Belly. Lots of movement. Tired. Hungry! Belly button in or out? in Wedding rings on or off? on Happy or moody most of the time: Happy Looking forward to: Having 2 Boys!!!! Told ya I feel huge! :( Lol. I feel like I grew a million inches this past week...and I didn't!
Thanks for stopping by...means a lot to me! ...following my dreams... -Cynthia |
