Hello there :) Just gonna do a quick update for this week, there isn't a whole lot that is new. Our family is finished with the flu and has recovered nicely. Although I have this lingering winter cold that just wont go away, it's just a nasty cough and a bit of a sore throat. This week was nice because the first half of the week I had soo much energy. Which was great because I was able to really get my house clean and rid of all those flu germs! Lots of chores got done! It felt great. Towards the end of the week I still had energy...but just not as much.
Anyways here are my questions for this week ;) How far along? 30 Weeks 6 Days! How big is baby? Baby is as Big as a Cucumber. 15.2-16.7 inch long & 2.5-3.8lbs! His skin is getting smoother. His brain is getting wrinklier to make way for all that essential brain tissue. He is now strong enough to grasp a finger. Total weight gain and bump measurements: 169lbs (crazy almost 20lbs gained so far...yikes) my bump measures 44 inches around :) Maternity clothes? Dress is from Forever 21 (is not maternity....but I have stretched it and can now only where it during pregnancy...lol), Jeans are from Motherhood Maternity, Cardigan is from Gap (non maternity) Stretch marks? Not that I know of...but I honestly wouldn't know if I got any new ones...I have tonnes of them. Sleep: I wake up every morning around 3-4am to use the washroom. Best moment this week: Having that energy boost. Miss anything? Sushi! Movement: He's a ninja! Food cravings: Toast with Butter, Chocolate Cake & Gnocchi! Anything making you queasy or sick: No Gender: A Boy! Labor signs: No. Symptoms: Heartburn, Boost of energy, Fatigue, Sore back, Uncomfortable & Lots of movement. Belly button in or out? In. Wedding rings on or off? On. Happy or moody most of the time: Happy but emotional too! Looking forward to: Our Anniversary Weekend next Weekend!!!!! That's all for this week. If you'd like to see a video of my 30 Week update please go check out my youtube channel. I am working really hard to keep at it for this Year! Enjoy! Thank you so much for stopping by! Hello, Holy Moly...is all I have to say. This pregnancy is cruising by. I cannot believe there is potential only 7-10 ish Weeks left. Yikes! I for real need to get my butt in gear. Well there has been tonnes of stuff going on around here lately. My Sister-In-Law and my little niece came down to visit for a Week. They stayed with our In-Laws. I had a blast with them. There truly isn't anything better than seeing my little man play with his cousin. He seriously loves his little cousin. So cute! So we kept pretty busy all week with outings and what not. My Hubby was gone on a "Rock Tour" he has a Rock class that he took on tour around some schools in Alberta! So we missed him, but it was nice to have company here as well to keep our mind off him being gone. Also it all of a sudden went from using shovels to using rakes...within a Week. Seriously the weather is gorgeous here, and we have been spending a lot of this past Weekend and first few days of the new Week outside. We went and picked up my Birthday Patio Set a few days ago and Hubby set that up for us on Sunday. Then on Monday I went into Edmonton with one of my other Mama friends to get some shopping done. We went in for a Costco grocery trip, but there was other places that were a must stop at as well. So we shopped for our babies and for us too. It was such a long day, but so fun! Not sure if you guys like seeing my Mama/Baby buys. But I like posting them, so yeah hopefully you enjoy them as much as I do. If not...sorry about that. We have a birthday party to go to on Thursday, so we are excited for that. Isaiah's little friend Emilie is turning 2 Years Old! How time flies...a few short months and he will also be turning 2. So crazy to think about. Anyways here are my Mama/Baby Buys for this Week, since there really isn't anything else to update on! Mama Buys: We went to H&M and I picked up this Maternity shirt for about $12. The quality is actually really great and I feel like it looks really great, my nice round belly! LOL Old Navy has always been another go to place for me. I like their maternity clothes...although if was to compare I would say H&M has better quality in their clothing. But I couldn't resist this $4 top I found on the clearance rack. Very light weight and will be perfect for summer. Stripes just look good with a big belly full of baby (in my opinion) Then we went to Thyme Maternity and I picked out some nursing musts. The left is just a basic nursing top tee, you have the extra piece of fabric that you can just lift up for easy nursing. Then I found just a light tank top for the summer (which you just pull down from the top when you need to nurse) The last time I was there I picked up that navy blue scarf (from last weeks post) so when I went this time around they had them on sale for $12. SO I grabbed the other color they had. I am going to really enjoy using these to cover up this summer :) Baby Buys: So the last time I was at Thyme maternity they gave me a coupon that was basically if you spend $100 you get $50 off your order (during a certain time period) Which kind of started the idea of going into Edmonton to go shopping...I knew I needed nursing gear and I didn't want to waste that amazing deal. So when I was in there the other day I ran into these swaddling blankets...which I have been drooling over since before I was even pregnant with Isaiah a few Years ago. These are marketed at $49 a box for huge massive, bamboo organic swaddling blankets. So I pretty much got these babies for free. I know I am going to LOVE having these with my new little man, and more babies to come. Best part is, the patterns are the most beautiful I have ever seen in my life and I would totally wear them as scarves later (something to use after I am done having my babies) Also because my bill was over $100 I got this free little onesie with my purchase. So I picked out the 2 nursing tops, the nursing scarf, the swaddling blankets and got this cute little onesie for $65. What a deal I just scored! I could not even resist these. LOL. Since our baby will be born in the middle of a hot summer, I thought these would be perfect! I LOVE H&M. They were about $15/each which is pretty normal for little outfit sets. I was definitely keeping my eye out for matching outfits for the boys, but couldn't find much, I needed 0-3 and 18-24 months ish (Isaiah is 18 Months...but he still fits 12 Month clothing) So 18 Months will probably still be a bit baggy when his little brother arrives. I found these cute little button dress shirts at Old Navy for $5.99 each on clearance. Of course I had to buy Isaiah this shirt when I saw it...Best Bro Ever (from Old Navy) That's pretty much it for what I bought for myself and my Little Men (I bought Isaiah some well needed sleepers, pjs and summer clothes...but I am just focusing on what I am buying for a new baby. LOL. Plus that would take forever to include what I buy him on a regular basis. LOL! How does Mama Feel? I am feeling actually pretty darn good. Definitely times of discomfort and heartburn. But I really can't complain. I feel like I am getting more energy and I am ready to start hanging out outside and going for walks. I am so happy Summer has arrived! How Big is Baby for Week 29? Baby is the size of a Cucumber. Measures about 15.2-16.7 Inches and weighs about 2.5-3.8 lbs. Getting bigger. Not much longer! Here are my Q's for the Week. Enjoy! How far along? 30 Weeks 6 Days Pregnant Total weight gain and bump measurements: 2lb weight gain (YIKES) 177lbs. 44.5 inches belly (no change this week) Maternity clothes? Wearing my new H&M Tee Shirt (Striped) and my new Thyme Maternity grey pants! Stretch marks? I am not sure...I don't think so, but you never know! Sleep: Yes. Best moment this week: Buying my first iPad! Miss anything? A glass of wine. Movement: Constantly Food cravings: Not really. Those Chicken wings I had the other day were out of this world though. Anything making you queasy or sick: No Gender: Boy ;) Labor signs: no Symptoms: Fatigue, Discomfort, Heartburn Belly button in or out? In but wants to pop...but can't...it looks silly. Wedding rings on or off? On. Happy or moody most of the time: Happy most of the time! Looking forward to: Getting my body back! Size Huge...but I still love it ;)
...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello,
Yikes it has been to long. No video. Sorry. For those of you that like them. Maybe I will do one soon. But anyways I thought I should fill you in on the weeks that I missed. Just in case some of you were wondering! 20-23 Weeks: I officially signed up for the W.I.N Program (Women Infant Nutrition) so that was really cool. Some benefits for joining are I get coupons when we meet....coupons that I can use at the grocery store for like free milk and other dairy, vegetables, and fruit/juices. But that's not the reason I joined...it is a really fun group I already met some great people (Mom's) through it. There is something about meeting and learning about babies and meeting other people with the same things going on as you isn't there? I LOVE this program. It should be a blast once we start up full force again this fall! Jayden and I Celebrated our 4 Year Wedding Anniversary on the 16th of June! :) We had a Family Reunion July 11-14th (23 Weeks Pregnant) it was super fun. We have one every 3 Years on Hubby's side (so this was my second one) It was so exciting to have our baby to be prayed for and loved as much as some of the older generation showed! WOW! 24-27 Weeks: I started meeting with some ladies from my church on Wednesday to sew with them. I sewed a few things since then (especially things for my little niece)! July 30th (25 Weeks 5 Days) My little niece Isla Lynn Madsen joined us. She is lovely :) I meet every Monday with some ladies I know and we crochet/knit together...then we meet again during the week at a local coffee shop that has the best Carmel Mocha Latte's :) Oh the joys of being a Housewife! What more can I ask for? 28-29 Weeks: August 17th (28 Weeks 2 Days)We had a Doctor's appointment she said everything was going super well and that it was time to take our Glucose test! So I did that a few days later. I hate getting poked...I hate it so much!!! LOL! Also she said we are now going to meet every 2 weeks instead of every month! The 19th I got my blood tests done! Aug 20-25th In Edmonton researching some baby things to buy...then we went and visit with my Family for a few days. We mended some relationships that needed mending. Thank you for your Prayers on that. It is really nice to fix things when they are broken...especially with Family! I Love you Mom & Dad...always!!!! WE got a call from our Doctor saying the Glucose test came back positive!!! EEEKK!!! What a scare!!! So we went for another test. Which took over 3 hours of being at the hospital and having to drink that gross drink again (which messed up my system for several days after) Then we had our regular scheduled Doctor's appointment a few days later. The results then came back Negative. So YAY for not have Diabetes!!!!! 30 Weeks: We had another Doctor's appointment (because it is every 2 weeks now not every month) and I noticed that the baby always has the hiccups down below in my "lower" regin like super low so I asked the Doctor if that meant the baby's head was down....she checked and sure enough it is. So let's hope it stays that way. I have gained 18 pounds so far in this pregnancy. Doctor says she is happy with my weight gain. If she's happy...I'm happy!!!! My Belly is 30 Inches according to the Doc! I have been having pretty restless sleeps during 30 weeks. Waking up and thinking that I had a lot to do before my Baby get's here. Stupid things like cleaning the bathroom and vacuuming...and then things like what car seat are we going to buy? LOL Yeah it's been...awesome!!!! 31 Weeks: We had our first Prenatal Class! It was awesome. Our Best Friends are in it too...so that's cool! I have been feeling baby a lot lately. I am starting to notice how it is starting to sit and where it's head is and where it's feet are. I LOVE feeling movements especially it's hiccups! I am becoming so in Love with my Baby I am enjoying every moment of it's growing and learning. Soon enough I will be able to see this beautiful little face and hands and feet and nose and ears and hair. I wonder every day how it will look. Like it's Dad? Like Me? I am so filled with Wonder of this little creation. I thank God everyday for giving us this beautiful gift of life inside me. How Amazing! Symptoms these past few months! Honestly I am safe to say that this pregnancy has been AMAZING so far! I am so lucky to experience this. I have bonded so much with this little person inside me and I have become so much closer in my Walk. I am tired...here and there! I get heartburn...here and there (take 2 tums and I am good to GO) I wake up to pee about 4 times a night...but fall asleep once my head hits the pillow again! My "chest area" hurts now and then...but nothing to complain about! Yeah I wish I could get to say more...but honestly I don't have anything to say. It has seriously been a blast being pregnant. If pregnancy was like this every time...we would be in trouble...because I would want like 10 kids and counting! LOL! Anyways that's enough for my novel. The next one will be shorter! Thanks for reading! Sorry I didn't make a video instead but it would have been like 30 minutes long if I made this into a video! If I keep on top of things I could literally make 2 minute video's. No belly shot today either. I'm lazy! haha! When it comes to blogging. So hopefully I can get into it more! Thank you to those who really like my blog! That means a lot to me. ...following my dreams... -Cynthia |
