Hello, So time flies when you are pregnant!!! There were so many things I wanted to do. Like write in my journal everyday, take measurements and weight every week, go for a walk every night, eat better (which I do most of the time) But wow is it amazing at how many of these things I cannot keep up with. I keep using the "I'm Pregnant...and tired" excuse. Well no more I have to get in shape here for our little one. I want as much information about us being pregnant as I possible can come up with for them to look at later! I want every week to be special and it is so far, but I need to get my act in gear and journal more often and make more video's and stuff! Anyways Week 6 & 7 were pretty darn great. I am really enjoying being pregnant! It is such a blessing. Yes I have my days that I feel awful and hungry and huge and bloated! LOL! But all in all it is by far the best thing I can have happen to me. Hubby is soo cute too every night before bed we give each other a good night kiss and every since I found out I was pregnant he has been kissing the "baby" as well! So cute!!! Jayden is so excited and I am so happy to because I know that is going to be an amazing Father...just like his Dad :) What great men in this Family! Week 6 I bought my first Maternity clothes....(I know what you are thinking...isn't that early Cynthia?) NO it's not too early, I cannot fit any of my clothes! Seriously it is annoying. All of my clothes are so dang tight, except for my sweat pants and I refuse to look lazy while being pregnant. I want to show off my belly and really present myself in a way that says "wow she is so fashionable and pregnant" She is well put together! (as I write this I am in my jammies and a huge over sized long sleeved shirt! LOL! Yeah like the video says not a lot going on these weeks. Just normal and getting into a routine! How big is baby Week 6? Well baby is so small at this point...still! No bigger than a nail head! Baby's jaws, cheeks, and chin are developing this week! And the kidneys, liver and lungs! Heart is beating 80 times per minute and getting faster each day! WOW! That is amazing stuff going on in there! 6 Week Bump :) How big is baby Week 7? Baby is 10,000 times bigger now than at conception! Isn't that for amazing facts of the week! This week (7th week) baby is the size of a "blueberry" This week the baby's mouth and tongue are forming and the little arm and leg buds. Kidney's are in place this week! Week 7 of our Pregnancy :) This was middle of day and probably a lot of baby bloat! ...following my dreams... -Cynthia

Hello, Week 5 is here!!!! This was a pretty amazing week! We had our first Doctor's appointment and he basically told us we needed to go to the hospital to get our tests done! Blood tests and pregnancy tests! Ahh I just want to know already, if ours was correct! LOL! So we had to go to the hospital the next day and get those done. Tuesday March 8th was the day we had this doctor's appointment and the day we decided to share the news with my Sister-in-Law and her Husband! It was so amazing, they are so happy for us! I Loved that moment when we told them. This week I felt pretty fantastic, very mild nausea! I also have been having the most amazing sleeps. I hit the pillow at night and I am out like a light. But I am STARVING in the morning. Honestly I am not surprised I eat so much lately and so often that going 8-9 hours of sleeping, it's no wonder I am starving when I get up! Good old toast or fruit in the morning is enough to tide me over until I make a proper breakfast! Also On Friday March 11th I got to hang out with Trishea (My sister) and the first thing she said to me was "You look smaller" LOL I had to tell her then I mean common that was the perfect opportunity right? So I said "I won't be much longer" and smiled then she was like OMG really? LOL. The 5th Week also involved us going to Hinton for the weekend and sharing the news with both of our Parents! They all took it so wonderfully. It was so special to tell them, and to share this amazing news with them. My Sister Lacey just about cried she was so excited! Her reaction was probably the best by far! So Symptoms/Cravings: Well I started getting cravings. This week it was anything HOT! Hot wings, spicy sauces and whatever else that is HOT HOT HOT! Yikes. LOL honestly it didn't give me all that much heart burn either. So that's a plus. Water is my other craving, that is all I can think about this week! I am very tired, so there is extreme fatigue, Mild Bloating this week, Hungry...like super hungry, thirsty and yeah that's about all the symptoms! How does baby look this week? How big is baby? Hmmm....Yup still has a tail!!! Embryo is the size of a Orang seed! The heart is taking shape this week, (it is the size of a poppy seed) That is crazy, it is so tiny :) All warm and snuggly in Mamma's Uterus :) Growing like a maniac! LOL! Well that's about it for Week 5 that's about how the week went! It was fun, I can get used to this pregnancy thing :) Thanks for reading! We really appreciate it! ...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, So we wanted to do something really special and creative to share the news with our Family! We thought it would be really fun to do a project together that would be a huge surprise to our Family! So I got this really great idea from this Mom on Youtube (I watch her channel and I learn so much from her) These are the things we needed: Onesies, Fabric Paint, Gift Bags, Diapers, and Coloured Gift Paper. They idea was to write on the onesies "I <3 Grandma" "I <3 Grandpa" "I <3 Uncle _____" and so on! The actual experience of doing this together was unforgettable...there I go being all mushy again. But it's true, there was such an awesome vibe in the room while Jayden and I worked on these together! It is almost like we see and love each other at a whole different level in our relationship :) (mmm special K with red berries as I write this) We had some awesome Christian music playing in the background as we made these little gifts! It was so fun! Here are the pics of how they turned out! Thanks so much for stopping by :) ...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, Well since the majority of people know now, since I announced it on facebook yesterday. We were thinking of doing a weekly update for everyone on how things are going with us and our pregnancy!I am someone who loves to journal and blog so I really want to put pregnancy/baby and our life into blogging. To me it is a great idea in the sense that by me journaling my pregnancy on paper and then making a blog about it. Our baby will be able to see exactly what was going on and get to flip through some things later. Especially pictures. We are even doing some weekly Video blogs that I will show through Youtube (Don't worry I think I am going to only make it so that people who have the link/password can view them.) Although it will stream through our blog too I think! Jayden and I love this idea so please follow us and if you aren't comfortable following well that's cool too! So March 3rd, 2011 was the day we found out about our bundle of joy to be :) I was about 2 days late from having my period...which is not normal (especially considering I had all the symptoms of a period that was about to start) BTW these updates are going to be real and they might be a bit weird for males to read sometimes. I want to write about my pregnancy and sometimes that means symptoms might be soar breasts and what not! LOL! So bear with us! Anyways it was a Thursday, one of Jayden's day's off of the week! SO we did all of our errands and stuff. While we were at the grocery store he said "We should buy a test to see if we are pregnant!" I told him we should hold off another few days just in case I was late. But no Mr. Madsen insisted! I am glad he did. So we got home and I took one of the tests :) Of course there were the 2 little lines (First Response) So an hour later (4 cups of water later) we took the second one :) 2 faint lines...but they were there!!! Yes later that night we took a third only to find! a Plus sign :) POSITIVE! By this time, we thought well "we're pregnant" Then we were able to believe and from then on became unbelievably happy! I had tears in my eyes! The happiest day of my life! By far! It is truly amazing how much stronger your loves grows for one another when you know that there is a little life you created inside! Thank the Lord for blessing us with this beautiful life! 4 Week Symptoms: Bloating (tonnes), gas/crampy, Hungry and Fatigue (very extremely tired) What does our baby look like anyways at 4 weeks? (I have two different books and an internet that is endless with information...yes I am a research mad woman!) Of course I am I want to know as much stuff as I need to know! Embryo is no bigger than a poppyseed at this point! It kind of looks like a cashew to me! I messed up looking one! LOL! Anyways that is how week 4 was for us. We celebrated Jayden's 25th Birthday the very next day March 4th, 2011! So it was an amazing Birthday present in his words! We are so looking forward to this wonderful experience and all the ups and downs it will bring to us. But we are both just thrilled to be parents some day! It will fly by! Thanks for reading. ...following my dreams... -Cynthia If you were interested in watching our Youtube video on Week 4 here is the video :) Enjoy! |
