Hello, Dear Son, I cannot believe you are 6 Months Old! (I know I will be saying this every month as the headline) But I seriously cannot believe that I gave birth to you 6 Months ago... Sometimes I cannot help but to just sit and stare at you...I am so filled with joy to know that you are MINE!!! WOW! What are you up to as of now? Well in this past week...you pretty much taught yourself to sit up...and it wasn't even really progressive at all...it was more like one day you just decided you wanted to and did! We would practice this with you a few times over your 5th month and you seemed so wobbly and NOT ready at all...then BAM...you did one day! Now you LOVE it! There are sometimes where don't even have to have my hands there to catch you (I still do) but there are times where you will sit all by yourself for even up to 5 minutes! That's awesome!!! I think you are starting to enjoy eating solids more...we have been off of them for the past few days cause you broke out in a rash (not sure what from) last I remember we introduced you to rice cereal...but I also had a cold...so I am not sure what caused the rash! But anyways...I think you still prefer avocado's over any other solid at the moment! You are loving tummy time...like you have for the past month at least...you used to hate it sooo much and then again one day...you were like...I LOVE THIS and have been loving it for a while. Especially since you learned how to roll over! But whenever I put you down to play with your toys you are instantly on your tummy. It's actually pretty amazing how good you are at that now! ;) You LOVE standing...while someone holds you...and when someone does this you automatically start jumping up and down...you can seriously do this all day if I let you. But yeah you love to stand. You are getting more and more curious as to what everyone around you is doing...and you HAVE to stare at people! hehe. You are also starting to get separation anxiety! Especially if someone you hardly know holds you! You want back in Mama's arms. I'm totally fine with that. More snuggles for me! haha! Everything you can get those tiny little hands on goes straight to the mouth! You got your first haircut a few days before you turned 6 Months old. Mama cut it while you were taking a nap. It's kind of crooked. I am sad that I didn't get any pictures of video of the actual event...but I wanted to get it down fast while you were asleep...Oh well...it's not the end of the world I suppose! Your weighing in at (and all that junk)... :
Your weight as of last week is 15 Pounds Your length as of last week is 25.5 Inches long So you are right on track...a tad bit on the light side for your age and birth weight. But I think there is nothing to be concerned about. You seem so content and happy as the days go by! That's about it for this post. You are learning so much and your development is amazing. I Love watching you day in and day out and all the things we get to do together. Now for learning Baby signing...that's our next goal. Cause it's about that time that we should! I LOVE you so much my sweet Isaiah! Happy 6 Months! Happy half Birthday!!! (which will be here in no time) -Your Mama ...following my dreams... -Cynthia

Hello, So we have been getting a whole whack of signs from Isaiah that he was ready for solids. The biggest one being he would literally grab stuff off of our plates. He is such a curious little man...and he would be completely still and stare at us whenever we would eat. Then grab for it! haha. He was ready. Now I have read up on this...because it was something I was so afraid to do...I didn't know how to start and where to start. My really good friend sent me the link to this wonderful blog...and I got to read about this woman's experience with her 3 Children and her take on first foods. Here is the link if you wanted to check it out for yourself. http://www.kitchenstewardship.com/2012/03/22/eat-well-spend-less-what-goes-on-this-real-food-babys-high-chair-tray/#more-14243 Anyways we decided to go on a different route other than the whole pabulum or rice cereal thing. I feel really good about our decision. SO yeah...we started him with Yams! Isaiah was 24 Weeks and 4 Days old (just about 6 Months) when we gave him yams for the first time! So I think it was a very good first experience all together! Isaiah seemed to not mind solids at all... of course he will get better at understanding what it is all about and maybe even swallowing some one of these days! Here's to good luck and to a Baby that will hopefully love my homemade "made with love for him" foods! I LOVE my baby bullet! haha! I LOVE you so much Isaiah...you melt my heart every single day of life! Daddy and I are excited and blessed! Thanks for reading
...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, Dear Son,Well you are 5 Months Old (5 Months & 11 Days to be exact) I cannot believe my eyes. You are getting so big. You are learning so much as the days go by...I am so very proud of you and all that you are able to do! You are able to roll over...and I must say you do very well at this. You could only roll onto your stomach (from your back) before...but now you are getting the hang of rolling back onto your back (from your stomach) You don't really like tummy time too much...but you are liking it more and more. Especially comparing it to when you were 1-2 months old. You love playing with your toys. You also found a new love of jumping in your jump-a-roo Grandpa Dave and I put you in the old jumper today and it was so exciting to see that you finally understand what to do in it. So cute! Before (even a week ago) You would only ever move one foot at a time and it looked as though you were showing us your dance moves (you very well could have been) But now...you totally got the rhythm and you LOVE IT! Your hair is unbelievable and it is totally changing to a more of a red color! You are so peaceful when you sleep :) I cannot help myself but to just stare and you and think how blessed I am that Jesus could give me something so perfect! You are LOVING standing lately too...and YELLING!!! So yes Isaiah you have grown so much in this past month. You have learned so much too. You have a very chill and easy going personality. You LOVE your sleep at night (except for the past few days...since you have come back from your visit to Grandma & Grandpa Pare's and I am pretty certain you are teething some more.) Your Daddy and I are so lucky to have such a great Baby. You are seriously the light to my life. So Month 5 you are enjoying:
Cuddles, Nursing, Playing with your toys, Eating your toys, Grabbing my hair and pulling your face up to my chin and biting me, Rolling over, Standing (with the help of Mama & Daddy), Sitting up...all the time (with the help of Mama & Daddy) Your swing, Your playmat, Your Jump-a-roo, Being naked, Sleeping in your own crib, Being held and staring at your Mama...all the time ;) haha. I love you so much my Son and I am so exciting to be your Mama...and Daddy is so exciting to be your Daddy too! We Love You!!! -Your Mama, ...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, Dear Isaiah.... You just turned 4 months old and I cannot believe how much time has passed since the first time I held you in my arms...I'll never forget that day...you stared at me the first time they put you on my chest and you just looked up at me and would not stop staring...all bundled up in a towel :) Best moment of my life. It's crazy how fast the days have came and went since then...that first week went by so fast and I am so happy I took every day and every moment to enjoy you. You are starting to become such a big boy, you even got teeth the day before your 4 month birthday! You are still teething and I must say it is really hard to see you in so much pain...especially the days that are worse than others!!! Poor little guy. There are definitely more coming in though...I could even see one...but it has broken through yet! We celebrated Daddy's 26th Birthday on March 4th...and we were so excited that we were able to get a picture of you and Daddy...Did you know he wore that little outfit 26 Years ago too? It is so exciting seeing you learn all these new things. Sometimes you get so excited when you realize what you are doing. You are getting really good in the jumper...although you still don't really know what to do just yet...but you'll get there. You love playing with toys (especially now that you are teething more...everything must go into your mouth) You are getting so good at holding the toys too! I am so impressed with your neck control as well...but you still don't really like tummy time.
You are starting to roll over so much more now too...and we are practicing sitting up...I can even leave you sitting sometimes (with me behind you of course) but sometimes you can go up to 20-30 seconds with nobody holding you! I am so impressed with what you are learning Isaiah and I cannot wait to watch you achieve more that you can right now. I love every moment with you in my life, and I feel so blessed that God has given you to me my Son! So 4 Months have come and gone...we are creeping up to 5 months very soon...and I must say I love every moment of it. I love that you are so happy and smiley and starting to laugh. You are sure turning into a Mama's boy though...sometimes you start to fuss when Daddy holds you!!! Hehe... I love you more than words can describe my son, and I am so excited to watch you grow and learn! -Your Mama ...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, Well time in the Madsen Residence is sure flying by!
