Hello, Our little guy turned 2 on November 1st. His Birthday Party was on the 2nd...and my oh my was it a Birthday Bash!!! He knows how to partay.....lol. Over the past few months he has been into "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" and before that he was super into Elmo (I would say he like Elmo for a good Year before this) I tossed around the idea of doing an Elmo themed Birthday for him. But then he started getting into Jake. So I was like yeah Pirates....and seriously this was the perfect time to have a "Pirate Birthday Party" because it is around the time of halloween so I found skulls every where...I shopped a lot at the Dollar Store and Walmart. So I would say it cost be about $30 to do all the decor for it. When I finished decorating I was so in love with how it all fit together...one of the coolest Birthday's I have seen yet! He loved it! He had a blast and had fun with his little cousins and friends! Life is good! Here is his Birthday Party in pictures :) Enjoy! Fish 'n' Chips...hehe Our baby is 2....not really a baby anymore is he? I cannot believe it has been two Years with this little dude. Everyday has been so incredibly amazing having him around...but now the terrible two's join us.
Thanks for stopping by...we are so blessed to have this little 2 Year Old in our life <3 Happy Birthday my Sweet Isaiah!!! WE Love you sooo much! ...following my dreams... -Cynthia

Hello,
Isaiah turned 2 on November 1st. I cannot believe how fast these past 2 Years have gone by, and I still to this day look at the little person we created and can't imagine life without him! He is so much fun (he has his days...when he is not so fun...terrible two's alright) but he is such a good little guy. His personality is so awesome and it's crazy to see his love for music :) At 2 Years he weighs just over 22 lbs. He is a small toddler. (Once I get all the proper measurements/percentiles I will post in this...I will try to take both the boys in sometime this Week so we can get them weighed/measured) He is still in diapers (Still on the medium setting for his cloth diapers, and size 4 in pampers) He wears 2T (but they are still pretty big) Instead of writing down his milestones/development...I will just write about some of the things he loves to do :) Some things Isaiah loves...
I think that is pretty much it...I am sure I missed a lot of stuff. But our 2 Year Old is a pretty awesome little dude with a love for many things! I am not in any way concerned of his development, I think he is pretty much right on track for that. He is starting to say a lot of words now and sometimes even a few words at one (like a sentence...or a toddler sentence I should say) He loves singing, dancing, jumping, climbing, he loves to read books (especially with his Daddy when he get's tucked into bed at night), He loves his ABC's, his little brother...his Mommy, his Daddy, he is starting to say "I Love You" and "Thank You" He is a smart little guy and remembers so many things...sometimes we are shocked at what he does remember. Isaiah is still in diapers...this is something we want to change in the next few months. We will start slowly at potty training...but don't feel rushed to do so...it will come in time :) His appetite is a lot better now, he loves to eat...some of his favorite things to eat are: Eggs (any style), grapes, Cheese, Meat and he lives for snacks! He still has 2 bottles a day (of whole milk) one before his nap, one before bed. We are hoping to work on getting him off bottles completely...but with a 4 month old, not getting as much sleep as we are used to...we just don't want to mess with Isaiah right now...lol His Routine: This is our Mon-Fri schedule...Weekends are usually errands and Family time. 7:00-7:30am- wake up time. 7:30-8:30am- Watch Thomas (or whatever he feels like) and eat some breakfast. 9:00-11:00am- Go to Parent Link (Which is an indoor play-place for parents and kids) 11:00am-12:00/12:30- Play at home (sometimes run errands) eat some lunch. 12:30/1:30pm-2:30/3:30pm- nap time (Mama can get some things done...if little brother lets her) 4:00pm- Daddy is usually home. just in time to play. 6:00pm- Dinner time 7:30/8:30- Bath (every other night) and of course Bedtime. The only thing I really want to change with our schedule is adding a day in the week dedicated to crafting...it's time to start getting him into making a whole bunch of cool things :) That is pretty much it for his update. I am sure I missed a lot of stuff...but I think I covered a lot as well. Thanks for stopping by ...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, We just got home from the salon. Our little man Isaiah just got his first big boy haircut. I wanted her to cut it kind of fohawk style and she did an amazing job doing so :) Jayden held him while he got the cut done since he is still to small to sit still on his own! Isaiah has had 3 haircuts already in his lifetime...but I wanted him to have a more styling haircut this time around and learn some tricks from Michelle (the stylist) He did sooo great. He sat still pretty much the whole time and watched as she cut all this strands off. (hehe) He looks so grown up now! My little man...a Big Boy now ;) Here are some pictures. BEFORE: Thanks so much for stopping by, Hope you liked my post!
...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, Ok I know I am waaayyyy behind on doing this post. But I wanted to get it up here anyways to have Isaiah's Birthday on my blog. He is actually 14 Months and 2 Days now (so I am 2 months late) But that's ok...at least I am doing it now. I cannot even believe a whole Year has went by. Where does the time go??? Tell me I want to know!!!!! Our little man has changed our life completely, and we couldn't be more in Love and more proud of this little person. Everyday we look at him and see a little boy forming and saying goodbye to that little baby we have been teaching this past year. He is so big now, he is so smart and we are so proud to be his parents. His 1st Birthday was a magical day and it was breathtaking to see all the people who showed up to Celebrate with us. Anyways here are some pictures to share the 1st Birthday Party of our little boy. The Love of our Life. We Love you Isaiah David Madsen <3 Thanks for stopping by
...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello,
So this post is basically just my thoughts and feelings about my breastfeeding experience! This picture is the closest I will take to the actual process ;) haha! But yes he is nursing in this picture. I LOVE it when he looks at me like this. It's the most precious time too, because I get to see his eye color and the way it is changing. This is the time that we can 100% focus on one another and just stare at each other! This is the most incredible bond a Mother can have with their son (or daughter)! I'll just start from the beginning! When Isaiah was a few minutes old he seemed to latch on ok. But as I had to give him more feedings throughout that morning...I definitely needed to get the hang of it. I especially had problems with one side over the other. (Won't go into too much detail...) But yeah it took us a few days to really get it. I am not gonna lie it was sort of painful for the first few days. The day we brought Isaiah home (Day after he was born) that night he wanted to cluster feed and do nothing other than nurse! As a new Mom this is something that you are so confused about and are kind of like what the heck is going on! haha! I ended up calling Health Link...because every time I would take him off my breast he would just freak out! We tried a few soothers but really didn't calm him down until the morning hours, when my milk came in...Did he ever LOVE that! haha I was so happy when that first night home was over though...because I dont' think we had a night quite like that one again! Just with my experience I would say that the first 1.5-2 weeks of breastfeeding is the time when you need to learn with your baby. Giving Isaiah a pacifier though sure saved me a few times. After the first few week period is over though I got so much more comfortable with nursing him. I even got the point where I was comfortable nursing him in public (under a cover of course) but honestly feeding your baby is the most natural thing...is it not? From time to time I do get the odd looks from people (Not gonna lie it's mostly middle aged women and men) which is so random and weird! LOL! But whatever...just turned my attention to my son (while taking a little peek at him under the cover) I think it would be so funny to knit a "boob hat" LOL that will get them talking hey? LOL! Just kidding! When Isaiah was about 2.5 months old he started sleeping so good at night (some nights he was sleeping through the night completely. I just left him sleep until he woke up for some food! This then tampered with my milk supply...cause during the day he was nursing every 2-2.5 hours and then went to about 9 ish hours at night! Yikes! Anyways it got to the point that I needed to start setting my alarm to get up and wake him up to feed him! Otherwise it was very uncomfortable in the mornings...and like I said I was getting a little low with my milk supply! I asked the doctor about it a few weeks later and she said I was probably just over-thinking it...because he was gaining weight just fine! Now that we started solids I thought for sure Isaiah would then get really bored of nursing. He isn't at all. This baby Loves to nurse! He likes solids too...but he LOVES to nurse! When I carry him and he wants to nurse he makes it very clear, he will nuzzle his little face in my chest. So my breastfeeding journey isn't over yet...I really want to make it to the 12 month mark at least! It seems to be going so great for the 2 of us that I don't want to mess with anything to make any changes. I will most likely be one of those Mama's who goes over a year...but I don't really want to! haha! We are both just so comfortable with it that I feel like I can do this forever! LOL! Anyways thought I would write a breastfeeding experience story for those who are interested in learning about these kinds of things. I am so happy with my experience...there are definitely things I will do different with the next baby...but Isaiah and my experience is perfect for us! My only advice is that I hope you will give breastfeeding a try (all those expecting Mama's out there) because it is the most rewarding and perfect thing for you Baby...There is no closeness like it! Of course I respect and will not judge the people who don't breastfeed...but my opinion is there is truly nothing better! Thanks for reading ;) ...following my dreams... -Cynthia |
