Hello, Dear Son, I cannot believe you are 6 Months Old! (I know I will be saying this every month as the headline) But I seriously cannot believe that I gave birth to you 6 Months ago... Sometimes I cannot help but to just sit and stare at you...I am so filled with joy to know that you are MINE!!! WOW! What are you up to as of now? Well in this past week...you pretty much taught yourself to sit up...and it wasn't even really progressive at all...it was more like one day you just decided you wanted to and did! We would practice this with you a few times over your 5th month and you seemed so wobbly and NOT ready at all...then BAM...you did one day! Now you LOVE it! There are sometimes where don't even have to have my hands there to catch you (I still do) but there are times where you will sit all by yourself for even up to 5 minutes! That's awesome!!! I think you are starting to enjoy eating solids more...we have been off of them for the past few days cause you broke out in a rash (not sure what from) last I remember we introduced you to rice cereal...but I also had a cold...so I am not sure what caused the rash! But anyways...I think you still prefer avocado's over any other solid at the moment! You are loving tummy time...like you have for the past month at least...you used to hate it sooo much and then again one day...you were like...I LOVE THIS and have been loving it for a while. Especially since you learned how to roll over! But whenever I put you down to play with your toys you are instantly on your tummy. It's actually pretty amazing how good you are at that now! ;) You LOVE standing...while someone holds you...and when someone does this you automatically start jumping up and down...you can seriously do this all day if I let you. But yeah you love to stand. You are getting more and more curious as to what everyone around you is doing...and you HAVE to stare at people! hehe. You are also starting to get separation anxiety! Especially if someone you hardly know holds you! You want back in Mama's arms. I'm totally fine with that. More snuggles for me! haha! Everything you can get those tiny little hands on goes straight to the mouth! You got your first haircut a few days before you turned 6 Months old. Mama cut it while you were taking a nap. It's kind of crooked. I am sad that I didn't get any pictures of video of the actual event...but I wanted to get it down fast while you were asleep...Oh well...it's not the end of the world I suppose! Your weighing in at (and all that junk)... :
Your weight as of last week is 15 Pounds Your length as of last week is 25.5 Inches long So you are right on track...a tad bit on the light side for your age and birth weight. But I think there is nothing to be concerned about. You seem so content and happy as the days go by! That's about it for this post. You are learning so much and your development is amazing. I Love watching you day in and day out and all the things we get to do together. Now for learning Baby signing...that's our next goal. Cause it's about that time that we should! I LOVE you so much my sweet Isaiah! Happy 6 Months! Happy half Birthday!!! (which will be here in no time) -Your Mama ...following my dreams... -Cynthia

Hello, So we have been getting a whole whack of signs from Isaiah that he was ready for solids. The biggest one being he would literally grab stuff off of our plates. He is such a curious little man...and he would be completely still and stare at us whenever we would eat. Then grab for it! haha. He was ready. Now I have read up on this...because it was something I was so afraid to do...I didn't know how to start and where to start. My really good friend sent me the link to this wonderful blog...and I got to read about this woman's experience with her 3 Children and her take on first foods. Here is the link if you wanted to check it out for yourself. http://www.kitchenstewardship.com/2012/03/22/eat-well-spend-less-what-goes-on-this-real-food-babys-high-chair-tray/#more-14243 Anyways we decided to go on a different route other than the whole pabulum or rice cereal thing. I feel really good about our decision. SO yeah...we started him with Yams! Isaiah was 24 Weeks and 4 Days old (just about 6 Months) when we gave him yams for the first time! So I think it was a very good first experience all together! Isaiah seemed to not mind solids at all... of course he will get better at understanding what it is all about and maybe even swallowing some one of these days! Here's to good luck and to a Baby that will hopefully love my homemade "made with love for him" foods! I LOVE my baby bullet! haha! I LOVE you so much Isaiah...you melt my heart every single day of life! Daddy and I are excited and blessed! Thanks for reading
