Hello, So we finally got to take our Victoria Trip...we have been dying to go back and visit our friends and church! (it will always be our church...even though we don't live there anymore) I wish it was possible for us to live there...because it is so beautiful! We definitely felt like tourists this time around. Jayden and I have definitely gained some pounds on our trip too...cause there were so many wonderful places to eat. YUMMY! It was such a good time though...and we were so happy to show our little Isaiah around where we lived...and as he get's older it will only get more exciting everytime we go for a visit! Isaiah did amazing on the trip. He slept pretty well the whole way there...we had to stop several times to feed him and get him out of the car for a little bit! But on the way home...he just slept and played happily with himself. He cried/fussed a total of 10 seconds ish on the way home. What a blessing he is to us. Such an amazing baby and he made the trip that much more enjoyable...I can't imagine your baby not being happy while you are on vacation! Anyways here is a brief breakdown of our lovely trip to BC and Washington! August 2nd- We left home at 6am...it was an early go..but we wanted Isaiah to sleep as much as possible on the way there. Our first stop was in Chilliwack, BC to visit our friend Lauren and her little guy Asa! Isaiah definitely made a new friend. They played very well together. Asa is a lot bigger than Isaiah, it's amazing what a few months will do! Here is the little cuties now The first night there we just kind of hung around. Lauren made the most amazing soup called "Mulligatawny Soup" It tasted like butter chicken soup! so good! August 3rd- The next day we decided to check out Cultus Lake...which was a very very beautiful lake The boys had a blast. Asa wanted to be in the water...all the time...haha! Isaiah just liked playing with all the rocks on the beach! We went really early in the morning and there was no one really there at all...as the hours went by more and more people came. That evening we also went to "Party in the Park" in Chilliwack...they apparently do this every Friday night in the summer. So fun. Very Family filled evening...and music too. I wish we had something like this in our town! Here's us enjoying the music. LOL (it was not really our style...but that's fine) August 4th- We said goodbye to our friend Lauren and Baby Asa and heading to Abbotsford for a visit with The Cumiskey's it was a great time. We got to see their new house (I can't wait for us to get a new house too) It was a very relaxing afternoon of just hanging out and catching up with our lives! Here's some backyard fun at their place We had 5:00 reservations for the Ferry...so we said goodbye to our friends to head to the Ferry! VICTORIA time...finally! haha! Isaiah did so great on the Ferry, he was very curious of the ocean...it was a bit windy...but nothing we couldn't handle. I am not gonna write dates for these next few days because they are all very random of just our time in Victoria. We were in Victoria August 4th- August 13th so a very nice time there! Isaiah enjoying the beautiful yard one of our Friends parents has. Downtown Victoria. Always a fun thing to do...explore! We got some fudge too, but it was a bummer...because that's not the place we used to get fudge...the place we used to get it is now closed. But it was still good! There is Jayden coming out of the tobacco store for some pipe tobacco! Which was well needed...the stuff he has here is about 5 years old! Isaiah's first time at the ocean (well besides the ferry) He loved the sand. He is so curious as to what it is. But he loved the beach so much. We can't wait to take him there again! We also spent a little bit of time at Beacon Hill Park...we went with our really great friends Chris and Norbert...and Norberts girlfriend Alexis :) Then our friends Jeni, Aaron and their little boys came to meet us there too! Isaiah loved the sheep...and Jayden loved the trees! Jayden got to play drums with the Worship Band while we were there...so awesome. He sounded amazing...as always and it was so nice to hear Luke's Beautiful voice again! Here are some pictures of the Adore service which is in Evenings on Sunday Nights The last night being in Victoria we spent the evening with the guys and we played a game called Shula which is a dutch game (I hope I spelled it right) It was fun. I hope to get a Shula board sometime so we can play it often too! Then we had to say goodbye to our Victoria Friends. Thanks so much to Jack and Karen for being so kind to let us stay in their house. It made our trip so easy and it was nice to just be in one place and not move around place to place especially with Isaiah! Thank You! August 13th- Off to Sumas, Washington. Jayden has cousins that live there so it was nice to be able to see some Family too. We also had a day of a bit of shopping at Target...I love going there. I wish we had one here! August 15th- Off to Vancouver to visit with Jayden's Brother's Family. It was so nice to see them and our little niece as well. They just moved into their place the day before so Jared can go finish his last year of University. So it was nice timing that we were able to stop and visit with them. We are going to miss you so much Jared, Emma and Isla! We love you! So that was our trip. It was so fun. We are hoping we are able to go every other Year! Thanks so much for reading!

Hello, As always I am behind on posting some blog posts. So I will try my best to catch up on them. We actually went the Calgary July 3rd to July 6th! So I am just a bit behind. LOL! So we were so lucky enough to go on the trip with our Best Friends and their little guy! It has been a while since the 4 of us planned some full days with one another...and it was extra fun to have our little men with us too! We had planned our trip for a few weeks...so it was nice to finally see the days count down and everything falling into place...it was nice that morning...when we met at Tim Hortons to get our coffee for the road. We took separate vehicles...because there would be no way 4 adults and 2 babies would fit in one of our cars...and wow would that be crammed! LOL! Anyways we started our trip on July 3rd. We took the scenic route...which was through the Mountains. It was actually really cloudy and overcasty though...so we didn't get much scene that day!!!! We also had to stop a gazillion times to feed (nurse) our babies and change them...and just give them a break from being in the car all cooped up and what not!! That was our make-do changing station on the trip there...I really recommend (if possible) that when traveling you make yourself a place that is easy to access for changing your baby. Because this helped us so much...and it beats having to go into gross bathrooms and haul everything with you! I loved this idea! So when we arrived in Calgary we dropped off our belongings at the house we were staying at and then decided that we HAD to go and eat at Peter's Drive-In...it is a MUST when you go to Calgary! On July 4th...was the BIG day...going to the ZOO!!! YAY! We started off by the Woman of the house we were staying at making us a wonderful breakfast~ She even gave us homemade bread and homemade raspberry spread for our toast. YUM! I am totally gonna do this more often...who needs jam pumped with sugar...when all you need is fresh raspberries? The Zoo was tonne's of fun...but I'll tell ya...I was so tired of walking all day. It was a lot of walking. But we were so lucky to meet up with our Friends Rachel and Trevor and their little man Judah while we were at the zoo....so cool! There are so many more pictures. But I think this will give you an idea of what our day was like there! I didn't get any pictures of all of us with Rachel and Trevor and Judah...because they didn't stay for the whole day...and I didn't think to get one when we were all eating lunch :(...oh well next time! So that was our day at the Zoo! August 5th was Heritage Park Day!!! We started off the day by going for free breakfast...because the stampede was starting up in a few days there was free breakfast everyday all around Calgary. So we found a location that was close to Heritage Park. Perfect right? I think so! Here is some pics of our day at Heritage Park! So sorry this post is so full of pictures. But I just wanted to make sure that our Calgary trip was on my blog...so I can look back at these posts later! That is why I even have this blog. To keep track of my busy life! LOL! I am sure you will see another post if not today than in the next few days!
Hope you enjoyed this one! Thanks for stopping by! ...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, So this post has taken me a while to do...but I am finally doing it. I will probably have another post of all my cloth diaper stash...but this is more to show what I actually do for cloth diapering...note: I forgot to show you what I do for cleaning them...maybe I will do another post on that. This is basically why I chose cloth diapering...and just my thoughts on using them! Reasons why I chose to Cloth diaper Isaiah: I have several reasons for choosing to cloth diaper Isaiah...but the biggest reason off the top of my head is what I know is in disposable diapers. I bet more than half the parents who use disposable diapers don't even know what is in them...I think people just choose to use disposable because they don't know all the benefits of using cloth...or that everyone uses disposable...and they think that cloth diapering is a lot of work (It can be at times...but I find it easier to use them vs disposables) Isaiah often get's diaper rash when I switch him to disposables even for one day!!! Do you know what is in Disposable diapers??? Let me tell you what I know from my research. There is Dioxin, Sodium Polyacrylate, Dyes, Fragrances, Plastics, Toluene, Xylene, Ethylbenzene, and Dipentene (I am sure there is much more) I don't even know what half of these "Chemicals" are ;( Anyways I am not trying to bash any parents who decide to use disposables...I honestly think I would consider it if I knew Jayden and I were only having 1 child...or if I didn't have access to a washer and dryer near by! So please don't be offended....this is just my opinion on the whole matter...and some research I came across. The next reason for cloth diapering my Baby is cost! Cloth diapers may cost you anywhere from a few hundred dollars to maybe $500 tops??? Depending on what kind/style you buy! Research shows that you may spend $40-60/month on disposable diapers. So that's like $2500 ish from the time your baby is born to potty trained! 3rd Reason...they are soo friggen adorable (even though my Husband says "it just catches his poop" lol! Anyways I don't want to start anything and get anyone upset or whatnot. But this is all just my opinion and my research that I found! I am getting my information from the internet and as well from this book called Changing Diapers by Kelly Wels (I got it free with an order for cloth diapers from my favorite website) I also use cloth wipes...cause I mean if your gonna cloth diaper you might as well cloth wipe too. Plus we have a warmer to keep them all warm...and he LOVES it!!! I don't have a prober diaper pail...but I have a wet bag so we just put it on Isaiah's Nursery door handle for now (it get's the job done) On the right we have wetbags for going out and diaper liners (which are good for catching #2's) After you learn your baby's routine for #2's you can eventually know when you will need to put a liner in the diaper...we haven't got there yet though! So my honest opinion about cloth diapering? I LOVE it...I honestly get stressed out when I am forced to use disposables. I don't know what we will do when we go on vacation to Victoria for 2 Weeks in August!!!! I will have to think of something!
I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope that you will think about giving cloth diaper a try. If you do want to I recommend doing a cloth diaper trial first...so you can pick the diaper that is best for you and your baby. I didn't at first and we bought a whole stock of a certain diaper and they did nothing but leak...it was so annoying! Anyways. Thanks for reading ;) ...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, Wow I cannot believe 5 Years have flew by like that! Jayden and I celebrated our Anniversary yesterday! It was so lovely. It is so nice to just reflect on the past years and look back at how many wonderful memories we created! This biggest and most precious memory being having our first Son. Wow...how blessed we are...especially to share this lifetime with one another! We started the day off with Jayden making us breakfast (sorry didn't get a picture) but he made egg in the "heart" if none of you know what that is...it's basically a piece of bread with a heart cut out in the middle thrown in a pan and the egg put in that heart hole...haha. Then it is cooked like that! It was so good! We then spent the rest of the afternoon running a few errands and getting a few things ready for Today (Father's Day) then just watched some Lost, went for a Beautiful Walk, had some Mama Burgers for Lunch (2 for $5...yay) LOL! and spent some time at the In-Laws! While we were at the grocery store...I told Jayden there was something there that I wanted...(Flowers) so he let me pick my own out...(I know cheesy and so not romantic at all) But we were together all day...so he wasn't able to get me flowers....so anyways if a Wife is told to pick out her own flowers of course I am gonna get Red Roses! Nana and Papa watched our sweet little angel for us while we had a romantic (not so fancy) dinner. I honestly thought the Golf Course Pub & Grill would be way more fancy than it actually was...but it was still perfect. The Food was great too...and pretty decent priced for our quality of a meal. This view was breathtaking though (we stepped outside onto the patio...but this is what we saw from our table) Aren't those mountains stunning? This was our meal :) Enjoying myself a glass of Red Wine ;) It's not everyday I get to do this...so it was so good (I did only get half way through though...and had pretty warm cheeks when I left) Hope you enjoyed my post...we are so happy to be Celebrating 5 Years of Marriage...Congrats BTW to our dear friends Tiffany and Roman for getting Hitched yesterday too! What a great day they picked. Also our friend Cathie and Nigel told us that that was the day they got engaged many years ago ;) YAY! ...following my dreams... -Cynthia Dear Husband of Mine,
I cannot imagine a life without you in it! I am so happy and proud to be called your Wife! Thank you so much for being the amazing man I married 5 years ago. Even though we have our ups and our downs...I wouldn't change one thing. It is truly amazing that even when you still put your arms around me I still get jitters, the room still freezes when you kiss me, and I still feel all gitty when I introduce you as my Husband...that's right MY Husband... <3 Sometimes I still cannot believe those words when they slip off my tongue. My Favorite moment this past year with you was the very moment we looked down at that pregnancy test (which seemed like hours of waiting for after I had to urinate on it...lol) and seeing that it was positive. We hugged in that moment and told each other we loved each other and it was amazing how filled with joy the both of us were. Those nine months of not knowing a thing about our Baby...but every night you kissing my tummy and telling the Baby that you loved him or her. That moment when I delivered him and the doctor let you tell me what we had. That moment I held our Son for the very first time and the look you gave the both of us! Pure Love! The look in your eyes when you held our Son for the very first time. I am so excited to continue spending the rest of our lives together as Husband and Wife! I couldn't do this life without you in it...and I couldn't imagine my life with anyone other than you! So here it is...5 years already...and yes let's shoot for 50 More and counting ;) You are such and amazing Father (Happy Fathers Day btw) and you are the most perfect Husband a Wife can ask for! Thank you for ALWAYS waking up with a huge smile on your face! Thank you for ALWAYS telling me how great I look (Even in my pjs) You truly mean the World to me! Love, Your Wife Hello, Well everyone I am 32 Weeks Pregnant today!!! Can you believe that? I can't! It is amazing how fast this is going. It has been a long haul that's for sure especially when we found out at 4 weeks and 3 days!!!! I am getting anxious for this little cutie to arrive...and he/she will be here in no time. I have been feeling amazing. I think I will do a Vlog today at some point (but don't hold me to it...you know how life get's so busy) But I really hope I can make a video on my Pregnancy! Since it's been forever! Anyways a few weeks ago I finished my Baby's first Blanket from Mama! I am so excited to share this. I love this pattern and this color. My nursery colours are going to be Green, Chocolate Brown, Beige, Yellow and Orange! Nice and natural nature colours! Because we don't know if this is a handsome prince or a beautiful princess yet I decided to go with a green color for the blanket! I am really proud of the outcome (thank you Jan for showing me how to do this pattern) my weekly dates with the ladies has really been amazing I am learning so much about crocheting and knitting. This blanket was done with crochet! It was so nice to crochet this blanket and think how much I absolutely Love this little bundle growing in this Mama's tummy! Sometimes I would sit in the glider and just think of how it is going to be to be a Mama...and I would just smile at some of the things I will get to experience. This gift that has been given to us is so special to me. Thank the Lord for blessing us with a little soon to be Babe! Here it is :) P.s- This pattern is so easy once you understand the pattern! It is HUGE! Baby will get to keep this blanket for his/her whole childhood! It definitely fills the crib! Thank you so much for Reading! I hope you enjoyed my blog post of the day!
8 More Weeks to GO!!!!! EEEEKKK!!!! (*jumping with joy*) ...following my dreams... -Cynthia Hello, Well, I finished sewing project #2 for my sweet little niece. I am so happy with the turn out! I had so much fun picking out the fabric. The design of it is sooo gorgeous...I totally thought of little Isla when I picked it! I am so anxious to make more of these...I had so much fun making it...even though the straps were kind of a pain in the butt to put on! But I managed to finish...and I am thrilled with the end result! Here it is...and of course I will have the link at the bottom of the page to show you how I made it (I find some amazing patterns from other experienced sew-ers on here! Awesome! Enjoy! This is the Fabric I chose for my little niece! The printed flower one is cotton and the polka dot one is flannel! Getting ready to work... THE FINISHED PRODUCT: I Love how the two pieces of fabric just go so nicely together. It should keep her nice and safe and warm. These are the straps that velcro around the car seat handle...so it doesn't fall off. A full view of how it looks :) I had so much fun making it and I can't wait to get started on the next one and one for our sweet little angel too (I think I will make ours after the baby arrives so I can personalize it a little) But I think when people see this styling baby Car seat getting carried they will know that it is a beautiful little girl in there! Hope you like it Jared & Emma <3
